Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, is observed on May 5th. The day honours and brings awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada.

You may see red dresses in public spaces around the Niagara Region over the weekend. Red Dresses will be hanging at City Hall in Port Colborne to observe the day....

Two displays at Port Colborne City Hall are honouring doctors on Wednesday, May 1.

The raising of the Doctors’ flag and the illumination of the City Hall cupola in blue mark the observation of Doctors’ Day in Ontario.
