On April 8, 2024, residents and visitors to Port Colborne will find themselves in the direct path of totality during an historic total eclipse of the sun. This spectacular event will last for almost four minutes, starting at 2:04 p.m. and ending at 4:33 p.m., with totality occurring at 3:18 p.m.

2024 Clarke Area Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Work

The City of Port Colborne, in collaboration with Civica Infrastructure Inc. will be conducting sanitary maintenance on Chestnut Street and Clarke Street. This proactive program includes flushing, CCTV inspection of main sewer lines aimed at ensuring the continued efficiency of our sewage systems.
Schedule:
Commencing on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, the maintenance work is expected to conclude by February 9, 2024. The designated working hours are between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, January 16, the federal government announced over $9 million to help build 41 affordable homes in Port Colborne.
